Edinburgh things to do

The heart of Scotland’s capital city

Come and enjoy the celebration and get involved with the traditional arts, whether it be music, song, dance or storytelling – right here in the heart of Scotland’s capital city.

Ceilidh Culture is a great festival which involves a large number of contributors from all over Edinburgh and beyond, for a fun celebration of traditional heritage arts in Scotland. With more than 30 contributing organisations, Ceilidh Culture has acts from the local and surrounding area as well as acts from the international forum.

Something for all ages,

There is something for all ages, from participatory workshops and children’s concerts to gigs lasting until the early hours in Edinburgh’s world famous clubs. To get everyone moving there are also some great ceilidhs led by some of the best bands around, complete with introductions to dances for those who may be unsure of how to go! A great opportunity for those who are new to the Ceilidh scene to see what it’s all about and get involved!

The ceilidh club The Bongo Club meets every Tuesday bringing you one of Scotland’s top ceilidh bands. There is a caller who will teach the dances, so everyone can join in!
Tickets also available at The Bongo Club

Following on from last year’s success, the street fair returns for Easter weekend with a plethora of stalls with food and drink, crafts, fashion and music, all celebrating the very best of Scotland. The festival is a Council led project, which owes much to the support of our sponsors, and I would just like to express my gratitude for their support and assistance.

Come and join us for this big ten year celebration with a selection of uplifting, energetic events, from dances and jigs to readings and gigs – no matter what you’re looking for, you’ll end up having a great time!
